The Solution

The future is electric

A solution is available today: electric trucks. Powered by batteries instead of combustion engines, electric trucks produce no toxic emissions when driven. A faster shift to electric trucks could cut about half of road transport CO₂ emissions and prevent approximately 3 million premature deaths by 2050.

The biggest truck manufacturers have the technology and resources to accelerate the transition, but electric trucks make up less than 2% of global sales. Volvo & Daimler are industry leaders. They earn billions in profits, work in alignment, and have unmatched influence over policy and other industry players. They must use all their resources to slow the climate crisis and accelerate the industry to a clean truck future.
