Almost every day, another extreme weather event claims lives and destroys everything in its path.
In the last year alone, the world faced deadly floods in Spain and Brazil, devastating hurricanes in Mexico and Florida, and raging fires in Greece and Los Angeles. Extreme weather is intensifying—and diesel trucks are a big part of the problem. Going electric must be a big part of the solution.
Truck makers are responsible for creating products that serve the economy and do no harm to people or the planet. As global industry leaders, Volvo and Daimler must lead a fair, sustainable industry transition to electric trucks that prioritizes re-fleeting of polluted areas, protects workers’ rights, and develops an equitable, fossil-free supply chain. The future depends on it.
